Stacy Murphy, CCTP, CAIMHP, DNP, RN

Co-Founder, Dr. Murphy earned her doctoral degree by studying how addiction impacts families and loved ones of individuals with substance use disorder. She established that caregivers experience enormous stress and strain as a result of their loved one’s addiction.

Dr. Stacy Murphy began her career in nursing in 2011. Her nursing experience ranged from emergency room nursing to hospice care and nurse management.

As both the daughter of alcoholic parents and the humble, grateful mother of a daughter in recovery with long-term sobriety, Dr. Murphy and her business partner, Georgia Jabbour formed Navigating Addiction as a way to bring family education and support to facilities across the United States.

Georgia Jabbour

Co-Founder, Georgia Jabbour found her passion for working closely with the families and  loved ones of recovering addicts both during her professional career in addiction treatment and drawing from her own experience as a young adult in recovery. She co-facilitates the Zoom meetings with Dr. Murphy.

Georgia uses her experiences, education, and passion for sobriety to guide others who battle the disease of addiction. She believes that addiction is a family disease and as such the family must also receive support and education, not only to help their loved one but to live a fulfilled and peaceful life of their own.

It is her dream to help as many addicts, families, and loved ones of addicts find peace and the healing path of recovery.
